For a long time, access to our talent database (or Strategic Bitcoiners Reserve, as we like to call it) was only available to POW Lab members.
But over the past few months, we’ve noticed a change… we started attracting two types of people:
The Job Seekers
Some people join simply to access a more structured and comprehensive Bitcoin job feed, and put themselves on our radar by creating a detailed profile in our talent database.
We don’t see them in our community, because they don’t need it. They’re simply looking to optimize their Bitcoin job search and make sure they don’t miss an opportunity.
They look for efficient tools.
The Builders
The people we do see actively showing up in our community aren’t regular job seekers. They’re builders. They have side hustles, creative projects, and ideas they’re working on.
They may still have fiat jobs, or they may already be working in Bitcoin. But what they’re looking for goes beyond finding their next job. They want to exchange ideas with other people who are building tools and services in Bitcoin. They want peers to talk to, learn from and be accountable to.
They look for community and growth.
That’s why we’ve decided to split things going forward and..
Add more value to the POW Lab community (through e.g. regular builder calls to encourage progress, growth and mutual support), and
Carve out the job search part and make it as affordable and accessible as possible.
