October was a month of putting things into motion in the POW Lab.
With Jobtober encouraging people to become more visible in the Bitcoin space, we saw members rethink their direction, share their projects, and offer perks to fellow members. Here’s a glimpse of what happened inside our community last month.
From ideas to action
One of the most encouraging moments came from a member who realised, just two days into Jobtober, that his new direction had been right in front of him all along.
He already had a studio, the equipment, and contacts across the media industry. What he needed was a new perspective on how to bring it all together. Jobtober’s first two days helped him connect the dots, and he started laying the foundations for a new podcast and show.
It was a good reminder that moving forward doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, it means recognising the value of what you already have and finding a new way to use it.
Other members were busy building, too. Andrew shared updates on Spaces Wallet, part of his work on sovereign identities and ownership on Bitcoin. He also offered free Spaces Protocol names to fellow POW Lab members so they could try them out and help test what he’s building.
And Kitti built a quick quiz and shared it with the community, after she had a moment of doubt whether she knew ALL THE BITCOIN MEMES :) Test your own knowledge here.
Building together, not alone
October also marked the start of our monthly Builder Calls, hosted by Kitti.
These calls give members space to discuss what they’re working on, exchange ideas, share progress, and get some accountability. Kitti also hosted our first public call, giving Jobtober participants a glimpse inside the POW Lab and introducing them to some of our members and their projects. If you’re considering joining the POW Lab, watch the repaly - it’s a chance to get a feel for the people and projects you’ll find inside.
We also started testing a new format called Unfinished Business, where members set aside focused time to tackle something that’s been sitting on their to-do list for ages. Because sometimes you don’t need another brainstorm. You need to finally do the thing you’ve been putting off.
We’re experimenting with different times and formats to make these sessions useful across time zones. The aim is to create more opportunities to connect, make progress, and help each other keep moving.
Looking out for each other
Community also means sharing the things we’ve learned the hard way.
This month, members discussed suspicious job offers, including a particularly convincing fake interview in which a candidate was asked to run code in their computer’s terminal (very similar to how the recent Binance hack happened). It was a timely reminder that scammers are targeting Bitcoiners, including people actively looking for work.

If you’re applying for jobs or interviewing, please be careful. Pause, verify, and never run code or follow technical instructions from an unverified recruiter just to get through an interview. A convincing profile or a real person’s name doesn’t guarantee that an opportunity is legitimate.
Working on something of your own?
What are you building? What are you stuck on? Who could help you move forward?
You don’t have to wait until it’s finished to talk about it. You can share what you’re working on, ask for feedback, find early users, or simply connect with people who understand why it matters.
That’s what we’re trying to build in the POW Lab: a community where Bitcoiners don’t just talk about what they’d like to do someday, but help each other take the next step.
Membership is 150,000 sats for 6 months (less than $120 currently :).
Enjoy your Sunday!
Thanks for being part of the Bitvocation community 🧡
