Now it’s time to get even more intentional — to grow your Strategic Bitcoiner Reserve.
As we discussed before - when you’re suddenly looking for a job, it’s too late to start building meaningful relationships. The connections you nurture today are the ones that will help you tomorrow.
Your Strategic Bitcoiner Reserve isn’t about random connections; it’s about quality and purpose — people who can open doors for you, and strengthen your findability in the Bitcoin job market.
💡 Who belongs in your Strategic Bitcoiner Reserve?
1️⃣ Recruiters, Talent Managers, and HR Professionals
They’re your natural allies. Their job is to build and maintain networks of potential candidates. When you connect with them, you’re helping them do their job better — and putting yourself on their radar for future roles.
💡 Tip: Send a short, human note like “Love what your team is doing. Happy to stay connected!”
2️⃣ Department Heads & Hiring Managers
These are the decision-makers. They might post rarely, but when they hire, they often start with their own network. Follow them on LinkedIn, but also check X and Nostr — many Bitcoiners are more active there.
Engage with their posts occasionally; a thoughtful comment now can make your name familiar when you apply later.
3️⃣ Employees Inside Your Favorite Bitcoin Companies
Why? Because referrals matter — and many companies reward their employees for recommending good candidates. If you’ve already had a friendly exchange with someone inside, it’s much easier to ask for an intro later.
“I love what you’re building at [company] — especially [product]. Are you going to [conference]? Would love to learn more.”
Even if you never meet in person, that small, genuine interaction plants a seed. Months later, when a job opens up, and you contact them for a referral, your message won’t feel like it came out of nowhere. You’ll be “that friendly Bitcoiner who reached out months ago.”

Identify 5–10 new people to add to your Strategic Bitcoiner Reserve:
A recruiter or HR person in a Bitcoin company you admire
A department head or hiring manager in your target field
2–3 employees working in the teams you’d love to join
Connect thoughtfully. Start conversations early.
Every message you send today is like stacking sats — a small, consistent investment that compounds over time.
How to search on LinkedIn:
Type Bitcoin in the Search field, filter on People, and then on your second or third connections.
You can also click on All Filters and select e.g. Human Resources there.
You can also look up Bitcoin companies directly, and click on their current employees and then select the right people to connect with.
And if you want to go really fancy, google Boolean Search Strings for LinkedIn, and play around with those. But the above simple searches should do the trick, too.
