✍️ Bitcoin “Peer Stories” Submission Guidelines
How did you start working in Bitcoin? Whether you landed a full-time job, started your own business, or began freelancing for Bitcoin clients, share your story to inspire others!
At Bitvocation, we’re collecting real stories from real Bitcoiners — and we’d love to hear YOURS.
If you’ve made the leap into working for Bitcoin, in Bitcoin, or because of Bitcoin — we want to feature your journey!
This is NOT just for founders and CEOs. It’s for employees, freelancers, educators - anyone doing real proof of work in the space.
🧭 What We're Looking For
Think of your piece as a story meets a roadmap:
Personal and real, like you're telling it over coffee with another Bitcoiner
Actionable and valuable, like you're mentoring someone who wants to follow in your footsteps
📏 Format & Structure
Original Story: Please send us an original story, not a copy of a previously published article. If you have told the story before, give it a new spin, as per the structure below.
Word Count: 1,000 – 1,500 words
A sweet spot for storytelling with practical insights—long enough to teach, short enough to be read in one sitting.
Submission Format: Google Doc
Fully formatted with headlines and subheadlines
Fully proofread and spell checked
Basically ready to publish, without heavy editing requirements from our side.
Structure to Follow:
You don’t need to follow this exactly, but here’s a simple story arc to guide you:
1. Hook / Headline
Grab attention. Example:
“From Fiat Burnout to Full-Time Bitcoiner: My Escape Plan”
2. The Before Picture
Briefly paint the picture of your life before you started working in Bitcoin.
What were you doing?
3. Your Orange Pill Moment - optional
Everyone loves orange pill stories, but don’t spend too much time on this - our audience is already orange-pilled. Feel free to share it briefly, though, if it’s relevant to your story.
4. The Turning Point
What made you decide to exit your fiat job and look for work in Bitcoin?
5. The Path You Took
This is where the education comes in:
What steps did you take to get your first opportunity?
What skills did you build or lean into?
How did you build your network?
How did you create “luck”? (e.g. putting yourself out there, sharing your work, joining communities)
Did you use any of Bitvocation’s tools or services? Feel free to give us a shoutout, if you used our job feed or were part of the POW Lab or BTX :)
6. Mindset + Bitcoin Values
What beliefs helped you along the way?
How do Bitcoin values (freedom, ownership, sovereignty) shape your approach to work?
7. Tangible Advice
Speak directly to the reader:
“If I were starting from scratch today, here’s what I’d do…”
“3 things I wish I knew sooner”
“These are the tools, platforms, or habits that helped me get noticed.”
8. The After Picture
Where are you now?
What does your work life look like today?
What has Bitcoin work unlocked for you—personally or professionally?
Any experiences with Bitcoin companies you want to share?
9. Call to Action / Closing Words
Leave the reader with inspiration—or a challenge.
Invite them to follow you, connect with you, or start their journey.
10. Your Bio
End with a short author bio (3-5 lines max), including:
Your name
Current role or business
Social media handles
Optional: a link to your website or project
📸 Images
Please include 2-3 high-res images to break up the text. For example:
A photo of you
Screenshot of a tweet or post that helped you go viral
A conference photo, work setup, or something meaningful to your story
✅ Submission Checklist
Before submitting, make sure your article is:
Between 1,000 and 1,500 words
Structured with clear headings and subheadings
Spell-checked and grammatically clean
Includes your bio and 2–3 images
Delivered in a Google Doc
Feels authentic, personal, and educational
🚀 Ready to share?
Submit your piece by messaging Anja directly (if we’re already connected), or submit it to us here through our Substack.
We publish Bitcoin peer stories once a month in the second half of the month. That means we will be selective, and it might take a while before yours is published. We will let you know though.
🙌 Is this a Free or Paid Service?
Both — depending on who you are.
🧡 If you’re an employee or freelancer at a Bitcoin startup
Your story is published for free.
We want to make Bitcoiners more visible.
We want the community to learn from your journey.
If you feel called to support our work, you’re welcome to send sats donations either to bitvocation@strike.me or through Geyser Fund — but that’s entirely optional.
🟠 If you’re a founder
Your story is considered a sponsored feature.
Why? Because this is not just storytelling — it’s strategic visibility for your company.
210,000 sats — Founder story published on our blog
375,900 sats — Full visibility package (includes podcast episode)
Details below 👇
🎧 Want to get extra visibility through a podcast?
We’ve partnered with Podcasted! to offer a full visibility package.
Their team transforms written content (your founder story or even your company website) into a professionally produced, dialogue-style AI podcast episode that you can:
Embed on your website
Share with investors, users, and partners
Use as a long-form introduction to your company
Reach people who prefer listening over reading
We also embed the episode directly into your feature article — making your story accessible on the go (see an example in Felix’s story).
If you book with Podcasted! directly, an episode costs 210,000 sats.
Through our partnership, you receive a 21% discount, bringing the full package (blog feature + podcast) to: 375,900 sats total
🙏 Thank you for sharing your story
You never know who’s reading. By sharing how you got into Bitcoin work, you encourage others to become more visible, more confident, and more intentional on their journey.
