A short rant, a quick poll, and a new Submit button
Bitcoin events in August, a quick Bitvocation update, and one small favour to ask.
From Latin America to Asia - August is packed with Bitcoin events around the world. Check them out on our Bitcoin events board here:
We're adding a Submit button to our events board, so you'll soon be able to submit your own Bitcoin events. You may already spot the button, but it's not fully active just yet. Stay tuned!
A Quick Rant
Building a business in Bitcoin is not easy! Our service providers, our customers, and our team noticed this especially over the past two weeks since MiCA took effect in Europe.
Strike may be losing us as a customer (through no fault of their own), and for us, every new member started with a payment error to troubleshoot over the past couple of weeks - not the best way to make a good first impression and build a good relationship.
We've posted a detailed breakdown explaining how MiCA affects us and why we're suddenly unable to accept Bitcoin payments from some of our customers in this tweet thread.
You can also join the conversation on Nostr here:
We are in the process of solving this, but for the time being - if you’re considering joining the POW Lab - it’s best to contact us directly, so we can process your membership manually and save you from having to worry about failed payments.
A Quick Anonymous Poll
We are running a quick poll on our Telegram channel and we’d love for you to participate.
Because we take our audience’s privacy seriously, we do not use Google Analytics at Bitvocation. This means we do not know much about our audience and the only way to learn more about you, is to ask you.
We want to bring you content that helps you live and work on a Bitcoin Standard, and to do that, we need to know what is of interest to you. Click here to participate.
Enjoy your Sunday!
Thanks for being part of the Bitvocation community 🧡
