So we’ve added a few new elements, including prizes. To be eligible to win, you first need to make yourself findable to the Bitvocation team.

TL;DR

1. Use the hashtags #Jobtober and #Bitvocation when you post anywhere online during Jobtober, so the Bitvocation team and other participants can find and engage with you.

2. Once a week, submit a link to your main public contribution from that week in a dedicated Bitvocation thread on X. We’ll remind you in the Jobtober Telegram channel.

3. If you submit a contribution every week and make it all the way to the end, you’ll enter the prize draw. Three winners will receive a 6-month membership to Bitvocation’s Career Hub.

4. You can also connect with other Jobtober participants in our friends’ new BitcoinNative subreddit.

1. Use #Jobtober and #Bitvocation

Some of the daily challenges will inspire you to share something publicly on the platform of your choice, whether that’s LinkedIn, X, Nostr, Reddit or somewhere else.

If you want to be findable by the Bitvocation team and other participants, make it easy for us to spot you by using #Jobtober and #Bitvocation.

2. Submit your weekly proof of work

Once a week during the challenge, we’ll publish a thread on X where you can submit a link to your best public contribution from that week.

We’ll share the thread link in the Jobtober Telegram channel, so make sure to follow there and keep an eye out for the weekly check-in.

You don’t need to submit everything you post. One contribution per week is enough.

The important part is consistency. Jobtober will only work for you if you do it. So submit a contribution every week and stick with Jobtober until the end.

Not only will you enter the prize draw, but you’ll actually make a meaningful difference to your Bitcoin career.

3. Win a 6-month Career Hub membership

At the end of Jobtober, we’ll draw 3 winners from the participants who submitted a contribution every week.

Each winner will receive 6-months Career Hub membership.

4. Join the Jobtober conversation on Reddit

Q1: What exactly is Jobtober? Jobtober is a 21-day career hackathon specifically designed for Bitcoin professionals. Instead of building products like traditional hackathons, you'll be building your professional reputation and findability in the Bitcoin space through daily challenges and actionable strategies.

Q2: Do I need to be experienced in Bitcoin to participate? You do need to be a passionate Bitcoiner, but whether you already have some proof of work in Bitcoin or not, does not matter. Jobtober is designed for both experienced professionals transitioning to Bitcoin and newcomers just starting their Bitcoin career journey. The challenges are adaptable to your current level of experience.

Q3: What's the difference between the free version and joining the POW Lab? The free version gives you access to all 21 daily prompts and the ability to participate publicly. After October, the channel will go silent for a year, until we run Jobtober again next year. Q5: How much time do I need to commit daily? It’s up to you. Some prompts will be highly actionable and some will just make you reflect and think. One day you may spend a few minutes polishing your online presences, another day you may just practice adding more intentionality to your daily conversations. The challenge consists of only 21 of the 31 days in October, so there will be plenty of time to catch up. You can participate as much or as little as you like - some prompts may feel more relevant to you than others.
